Interview in Sync Magazine

Something pretty cool happened yesterday, so cool it’d make a penguin put on a sweater-vest. I was on a dang magazine cover.

In case you didn’t get the Arkansas Democrat Gazette yesterday and/or don’t plan on picking up the Sync portion in Little Rock or surrounding cities,  I’ll hit you with the highlights like the only children’s magazine at the dentist’s office.

  • I got interviewed by a very cool dude and extremely talented writer with the superhero alias sounding name of Spencer Watson. He asked me a bunch of stuff, I rambled like an idiot, and he turned that gibberish into an article. Spencer is a boss. Thanks man, a thousand times infinity. If you’re not Spencer and you read that thank you, you better give it back cause that doesn’t belong to you.
  • The photographer extraordinaire’s name is Arshia Khan, and you can check some of her other work not only all up in Sync Magazine, but at arshiakhanphotography.com If you’re getting married or just like to have a bunch of pictures of yourself looking cooler than you actually are, Simon says you should check her out.

  • Arshia also posted a couple pictures that weren’t in the article right here just click this right here and some more right here not over there click right here. WARNING: There is a lot of my face there, like the Brady Bunch on steroids. Be prepared to see even more of her photos as my profile pictures for every social media site I’ve got for the next 12 years
  • Where did I get that bad-asprin bottle Imperial Stormtrooper outfit? Fun story: none of the costume shops in a 100 mile radius had one, so in my extended Google search I ran across a forum from mid-2009 where a guy had made a conversational comment saying he was going to come to an event dressed as a Stormtrooper. I emailed him, he replied, and he agreed to meet me and let me borrow his thousand plus dollar suit for the shoot. Needless to say, Tracy Wilson, you are a Jedi among Padawans, thank you for allowing me to wear the most awesome outfit I’ve ever seen in real life or America.
  • What? You’d like to see the digital edition of the newspaper and read it and/or feel it on the computer screen? Well then click a right a here.
  • What again? You can’t play flash and/or would like to read in blog article format without most of the pictures? Well then click right here like an Adam Sandler movie. You can even leave a comment on that one. I guess you could also write comments on the paper edition, but then it’d be difficult to reply.
  • This is really one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me. Thank you Spencer, Arshia, and Sync for being so awesome. I’ll buy you guys some free salsa sometime.
  • That’s all I got, you look so hot today, get inside.
  • Sorry, I didn’t mean hot, I meant attractive.

If you were shown on the cover of something wearing a costume/outfit, what character/thing would you wanna be?

I don’t know of a specific character I’d want to be, but I want to incorporate arm floaties. Great job. You deserve it. Cuz you smell nice most of the time.

I’d be wearing Captain Picard’s uniform like Q when he just showed up wearing a Captain’s uniform and was all like, “What’s up? I’m a Captain now too. IN YO FACE BALD DUDE!!!!”

    • http://tylertarver.com Tyler

that was my second choice but with a mullet.

Congrats! That’s great stuff. I wouldn’t wear anything. Wait. That’s not what I meant. What I mean is that I would have them CGI a cool body onto my face.

If you were shown on the cover of something wearing a costume/outfit, what character/thing would you wanna be?

This is a very difficult question. But after a lot of deep thought and concentration, I would have to go with a Sandtrooper. Yeah, I know. Not very original, huh? LOL
